Background: Edward comes from a big house in a little suburb, where he was treated as a little prince, despite some incidents of bad behaviour. He was the loudest kid and most popular kid in class during school for his looks, athleticism, and his ability to talk to just about anyone. He has two sisters (Eleanor and Joan), both older than him, who left home permanently after college, while Edward had a much more difficult time getting away from his parents, due to be the third child, and the only boy.

In school he was friend and love to one Piers Gaveston (though he didn't stop there). Despite having numerous people fall in and out of his affection, Piers stayed close and constant, and Edward always seemed ready to shower affection and money on him.
Personality: Edward is smooth and collected and very much a playboy. He picks up boys for the night and never calls them back. He can get anyone he wants, anytime he wants, and has a fairly voracious appetite. However, there's one boy out there who still makes him giddy, but whom he hasn't seen for a couple of years. This boy brings out a side of him that is always present, but usually obscured. Edward is generous, and has a great capacity for affection. He's easy to love, and fairly good at returning it.
Important Details: Hasn't seen Piers in several years, though he knows that they are now in the same city. His parents want him to go into the family business, but he has no desire to and has become a reporter instead. Has been involved in a few minor scandals in high school, but his police record is clear, and his name is well-known only in his hometown.
